Silica Gel S01 - Red
Silica gel SO1 - orange is a very effective silica (SiO2) based desiccant material in the form of 2-4 mm round grains. This type of silica gel is equipped with an indicator that reacts to moisture by changing colour from orange to green, making it easier to monitor its ability to absorb moisture.
**Use of the product**
- Storage of 3D printing filaments**: Provides dry conditions for filaments, protecting their quality from the effects of moisture. It is suitable for use in a variety of storage systems, including Bambulab's AMS.
- **Humidification of air and gases**: Ideal for confined spaces where humidity needs to be controlled.
**Recommendations for use**
The following steps are recommended for optimal filament storage:
1. Place silica gel in a closed container or box with the filaments.
2. Check the colour of the silica gel regularly. Once the colour changes from orange to green, regeneration is required.
**Colour change on absorption of moisture**
Once SO1 silica gel reaches a certain moisture level, a color change occurs:
- **0% moisture**: Orange
- **8% moisture**: Yellow-brown (at 20 °C, minimum 20% RH)
- **20% humidity**: Brown-green (at 20 °C, minimum 50% RH)
- **30% humidity**: Green (at 20 °C, minimum 90% RH)
