PolyLite™ PLA is a high quality PLA designed for reliable and easy printing.
What is Jam-Free™ Technology?
Polymaker Jam-Free™ technology increases the heat resistance of the filament itself (not the printed part) to 140˚C.
This prevents any jamming issues due to heat problems at the hot end.
Heat creep is a process where heat spreads irregularly throughout the hot end, softening the filament before entering the fusing chamber and jamming the filament by expanding at the cold end.
Increasing the heat resistance of the filament from 60˚C to 140˚C ensures a jam-free experience.
(Note that the printed part will have the same heat resistance as regular PLA: ~60˚C).
Printing and drying setup?
Printing temperature: 190˚C - 230˚C
Pad temperature: 25˚C - 60˚C
Print speed: 40 mm/s - 60 mm/s
Fan: on
Drying setting: 55˚C for 6 hours
(Only if the material has absorbed moisture)
How strong is the PolyLite™ PLA material?
PolyLite™ PLA is based on Natureworks' high molecular weight PLA, making it one of the stiffest PLA materials on the market.
You can check the Young's modulus and flexural strength data of PolyLite™ PLA, which represent its stiffness, in its TDS and compare it to other materials in our portfolio.
