Filament Spectrum PET-G Carbon
Spectrum PET-G Carbon Filament
Increased hardness and stiffness
Spectrum PET-G Carbon is a modified PET-G filament doped with carbon fiber providing a significant increase in stiffness, hardness and tensile strength while maintaining low shrinkage and very good adhesion to working platforms characteristic of pure PET-G. The 10% addition of carbon fiber makes it possible to obtain matte surfaces of the manufactured parts by which the aesthetic value of the printed parts is significantly increased.
Tip: Due to the significant content of shredded carbon fiber, it is recommended to use nozzles with diameters larger than the standard 0.4mm. In addition, the presence of carbon fiber can cause brass nozzles to wear out, so stainless steel nozzles are recommended for long-term use of Spectrum PET-G Carbon.
Key features:
Increased hardness and stiffness compared to unblended PET-G
Increased plasticization temperature compared to unblended PET-G
Increased resistance to abrasive wear
VICAT 80°C
Significantly increased compressive strength
Excellent layer lamination
Matte print surface
No shrinkage
Application
Production of components that must be very rigid and hard while maintaining dimensional accuracy.
spacers subjected to static pressure loads
decorative parts (increased aesthetic value).
external structural elements exposing the product design
prototypes
Production
Filament wound on a transparent design spool. The spool contains information on material type, diameter and recommended printing temperature. Each spool vacuum packed with a moisture absorber. All in the original Spectrum Filaments foiled box.
