Filament Spectrum NYLON PA6 CS20 FR Black
Spectrum PA6 CS20 FR V0 filament is a new flame retardant construction material based on polyamide 6. The ceramic fillers used increase thermal stabilitywithout causing processing problems. Thanks to the halogen-free flame retardant used, the UL-94 V0 flammability rating is achieved on printed parts ≥0.4 mm thick. Spectrum PA6 CS20 FR V0 is also characterized by low moisture absorption, high temperature resistance and good electrical insulation. During printing, a heated chamber is not required and there is no deformation (shrinkage). The material is compatible with HIPS and PVOH support materials.
Parts produced using Spectrum PA6 CS20 FR V0 allow operation at elevated temperatures reaching up to 120°C long-term (20,000h) and up to 160°C short-term (max. 200h).
The material from which the Spectrum PA6 CS20 FR V0 filament is made is compliant with the EN 45545 standard in the railroad industry.
Very attractive from a technical point of view, the properties of Spectrum PA6 CS20 FR V0 filament are achievable if the basic rules of storing this type of material are observed (in a dry and dark place with humidity below 15%). In order to obtain the best possible parameters of the printed object, it is recommended to dry the material before starting work.
Note: Due to the significant filling of the material with ceramic microspheres, it is recommended to use nozzles with a diameter larger than the standard 0.4mm. In addition, the presence of ceramic microspheres can cause degradation of standard brass nozzles, so hardened steel or ruby nozzles are recommended for long-term use of Spectrum PA6 CS20 FR V0.
Key features:
unprecedentedly low processing shrinkage (linear) <0.1%
high temperature resistance up to 160°C for short-term operation (max. 200h)
high temperature resistance up to 120°C for long-term operation (20,000h)
heat distortion temperature - HDT A 90°C (ISO 75)
water absorption of less than 0.3% (23°C/24h)
electrical insulator
flammability class UL 94 - V0 (thickness ≥0.4 mm)
high mechanical strength
very strong lamination of layers
high hardness and rigidity of the produced elements
Application:
all applications where fire resistance is important
manufacture of components with good electro-insulating properties
production of parts designed to work at high temperatures,
making components subject to large temperature changes
Confectioning
Filament wound on a transparent designer spool. On the spool there is information about the type of material, diameter and recommended printing temperature. Each spool vacuum-packed with moisture absorber. All in the original foiled Spectrum Filaments carton.
