Description
PolyTerra™️ PLA is a bioplastic-based 3D printing filament that has been designed from the ground up to create a new generation of PLA that provides ease of use, print quality, speed and reliability. It is a sustainable product sourced from natural resources and for every spool sold, a tree is planted to give back to the Earth.
Is PolyTerra™ PLA biodegradable?
The short answer is: not so that it won't decompose when you drop it on the side of the road. PolyTerra™ PLA requires specific conditions to decompose that can be achieved in industrial composting facilities.
We have developed a formulation that can degrade faster than conventional PLA while maintaining excellent printability, allowing us to take a step forward towards improving the end of life of our PLA in our industry.
The compostability report and other detailed information can be found here.
