Filament ABAFLEX PETG+ White Refill
PETG+ without coil
- PETG = Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol, "+" means modified
- The filament is wound on a narrowed paper cavity, thanks to its dimensions it can also fit into the Bambulab AMS
- Refill can be mounted on ABAFLEX "openable" spools (STL spools available for download at ABAFLEX.eu)
- The Refill can also be mounted on Bambulab "openable" coils using the reducer (STL reducer available for download at ABAFLEX.eu)
- Suitable for all 3D printers (Original Prusa, Bambulab /incl. AMS/, Creality, Voron etc.)
PETG+: This is a filament produced in collaboration between ABAFLEX and a leading European plastics manufacturer and a major research institute. The "+" sign here means that it is a modified PETG, which has improved properties compared to conventional PETG.
Advantages of ABAFLEX PETG+ vs. conventional PETG:
- The individual layers are bonded even more perfectly during printing, making the print stronger and more durable.
- With the same printing temperatures of regular PETG and PETG+, our filament flows better and bonds the layers better during printing.
- Our material can withstand a wider temperature range and is therefore printable from lower temperatures while also withstanding higher temperatures. (The increased temperature range allows printers to experiment with, for example, superior product strength or faster printing.)
- PETG+ also has improved impact toughness and can therefore withstand even greater force impacts without cracking.
- This filament is also more suitable for printing industrial parts that are mechanically stressed.
Common PETG properties:
- PETG is one of the easiest materials to print, but compared to PLA, for example, it is more prone to moisture absorption and has a slight tendency to string. It is sometimes advisable to adjust the printer settings. However, before adjusting the parameters, make sure you have dried filament. You can influence stringing by adjusting retraction and temperature settings.
- This is a very tough material with good heat resistance.
- This filament has universal use and is also suitable for printing mechanical parts.
- Its thermal expansion is relatively small, so it does not curl or peel on the printing pad.
- It does not crack when force is applied, but it does bend.
- Due to its good adhesion of layers and negligible water solubility, it is also suitable for waterproof printing.
- PETG can be used indoors and outdoors.
RECOMMENDED PRINT SETTINGS:
- Use a dried string when printing.
- Recommended pad temperature.
- Recommended nozzle temperature for normal printing: 245±20°C
- Recommended print profiles.
- We recommend applying 3D varnish or "stick" adhesive to the print pad.
TECHNICAL DETAILS OF THE 3D STRING:
- Max. deviation of string diameter: +-0.019 mm
- String roundness: min 94%
- Net string weight: 750 - 800 g
- String length: 245 - 255 m
TECHNICAL DETAILS OF THE REFILL:
- 37 - 42 g empty weight
- Outer diameter: 165 mm
- Width: 60 mm
- Inner cavity diameter: 100 mm
SCOPE OF SUPPLY:
- Reel with 3D string without spool.
- Repeatable resealable bag + moisture absorber = serves as protection for the filament against absorption of air moisture.
- Convenient resealable paper box with inspection hole suitable for storing 3D string.
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS:
- If you are not printing, keep the string dry and out of direct sunlight (e.g. in a box, in a resealable bag together with a "dried" moisture absorber).
- When handling the bobbin, secure the free end of the string so that the string does not unravel spontaneously. The free end can be inserted anywhere around the circumference (side or edge) of the ABAFLEX refill spool.
- When 3D printing with all filaments from all manufacturers we always recommend using a "filament cleaner = cleaning filter", this filter wipes dust and other possible contaminants from the surface of the string. Due to the electrostatic charge, dust particles and other mechanical impurities can stick to the surface of the unwrapped filament and consequently risk clogging the nozzle.
ADVANTAGES OF ABAFLEX FILAMENT:
- Czech product manufactured on a unique production line.
- Precision diameter with maximum stability.
- Excellent circularity.
- Guaranteed colour fastness.
- When unwinding the ABAFLEX string, the individual threads will never cross and the unwinding will not get stuck.
- Wound on eco-friendly paper cavity.
- We use raw materials exclusively from Western Europe and North America from suppliers with guaranteed quality and stability of each production batch.
