AzureFilm PAHT Carbon Fiber is a high-temperature polyamide-based material, excellent for industrial 3D printing. It demonstrates high temperature resistance up to 160°C, making it ideal for printing long-life parts for end users.

This material can also be printed in unheated print chambers. AzureFilm PAHT Carbon Fiber features toughness, excellent abrasion resistance, material fatigue resistance, good chemical resistance, high strength and stiffness. In addition to exceptional tensile strength and impact resistance, the material bond allows for short, continuous use up to 160°C (with a maximum lifetime of 200 h). The material is fully compatible with soluble carrier materials such as PVA, BVOH, PVOH, and separable materials such as HIPS.

Water absorption takes about four times longer than unmodified PA6, and the saturation point is five times lower than conventional PA6 materials. The thickness of the fibres inside ranges from 0.4 mm to 0.6 mm, and therefore a nozzle diameter greater than 0.6 mm is required.

Application:

Extremely smooth surface allows printing of functional prototypes.
Due to its exceptional mechanical properties, the material can be used for various equipment, tools, production processes or personal use.
The low weight provides a decisive advantage in weight reduction without loss of performance.
Compared to PLA, ABS, PETG or even other carbon reinforced materials, this material can withstand significantly higher temperatures with an operating temperature raised to 160 °C (with a lifetime of max. 200 h).
The high filament stiffness allows 3D printed parts to retain their shape under heavy use.

Requirements for the use of PAHT CF filaments:

Heated print pad.
Hardened nozzle - the abrasive structure of the filament shortens the life of a standard brass nozzle, therefore an abrasion resistant nozzle is required. Higher extruder temperatures are usually recommended.
Heated filament chamber (optional) - Filament should be stored in a dry location with a working temperature, ensuring a consistently controlled environment for the best product quality.
Enclosed environment (optional) - while it is possible to print this filament on 3D printers without a heated chamber, consistent environmental control helps to improve the final product quality.
